Sail250NYC, Inc., dba Sail4th 250 is organized as a non-profit entity under the laws of the State of New York. A board of trustees consisting of diversified professionals provides management.
Cristin D. Burtis
CHAIR
Former executive of the City of New York, served under three New York mayors, most recently as Executive Director of the Mayor's Office of Citywide Event Coordination and Management, and operates her own consultancy.
U.S. Coast Guard veteran, served as executive director of Operation sail from 2004-2019, and director of operations for the U.S. Navy for the Port of New York. Full bio.
Christopher O'Brien
PRESIDENT, VICE CHAIR
U.S. Navy (CAPT-Ret.), long-time public relations executive, author and educator, worked in OpSail in 1986, 2000 and 2012, and serves on several non-profit boards.

Experienced management consultant to the financial services industry and attorney, as well as a seasoned long-distance ocean sailor and racer.
Andrew Yarnall
TREASURER
Orlando served as Vice President and Director of Communications for Goldman Sachs in Japan from 2000-2006 and later as President of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide Japan from 2006-2011, where he focused on social media strategies and reputation management for Fortune 500 brands. At Ithaca Street Partners, he collaborates with CEOs and organizations to enhance their communications efforts. He is a former President of the ALPFA New York Chapter and has completed 8 triathlons. Orlando currently resides in Harlem, NYC.

Norfolk-based executive, founded and served as CEO of Norfolk FestEvents, the largest continuing waterfront festival on the east coast, and played a lead role in planning and executing OpSail 2000 and 2012.
Karen Scherberger
President of the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, a national non-profit serving America’s military personnel, and Executive Vice President of the Intrepid Museum, a historic and educational institution centered on the aircraft carrier Intrepid.
David Winters
President and CEO of South Street Seaport, New York's premier attraction for mariners and the age of sail. He is a lifelong sailor, marine educator, expert in historic ships, and all-around lover of maritime history and culture.
Captain Jonathan Boulware
